Using chroma key or “green screen” technology, we developed a program that allowed patrons of bars and attendees at special events to actually appear in a Miller Lite commercial and walk away with a video of their 30 seconds of fame. This itinerant on-premise event traveled around the country for almost two years appearing in local bars and major high profile events such as the Super Bowl. Not only did it draw large crowds wherever it appeared, but it gave the distributors a promotional tool that they could leverage to increase sales and it directly extended the brand’s imagery and attitude. In fact, a media analysis indicated that the promotion had a media value that far exceeded the cost of the promotion. |
